Simply the best comedy I've read in years,
The characters were believable, the mix of story telling and oneliners was nicely balanced, and the situations where hilarious.
This should be on TV, not hiding away on a bookshelf somewhere. after the way it ends, I can't wait for the next installment.

BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN
BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN, I've worked in this industry for many years and can EASILY say this is one of the funniest books I've read. Great range of odd ball characters with plenty of depth and scope, ridiculous but believable situations all coupled together with simple good old fashioned one liners to keep things constantly moving, Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to any Strictly Come Dancing fan or comedy fan alike.

More double entendres than all the Carry-on films combined . I did notice that four of the pages didn't have anything funny on them - the last four.
Most enjoyable, and quite accurate too. "Jive" in more senses than one. Roll on pt2.

A great mix of one liners and story telling. The main character, Clive landed himself in some hilarious situations and I particularly liked the the mickey taking he received from his colleagues, so funny, I look forward to the next book and will be bracing myself for more laughter.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
A very funny, yet sensitive insight into the world of dance. I must admit, when I first read the title, I thought it a bit ambiguous. Was this about swinging or swing dance? Turns out it's a hilarious romp with laughs in abundance (take from that what you will).
The writing is cleverly forged to capture the spirit of the dance hall together with the spirit of those that frequent it.
Highly recommended. (And not just for 'Strictly' fans!)
